Onions, garlic and MSM for sulphur
Spring mixed greens for iron , zinc and other important minerals and vitamins
Coconut oil ( can't recall the name of the essential acid)
Flax seeds for omega 3's
Diatomaceous earth for natural silica and other important nutrients
Hemp seeds, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds,
Burdock root
Slippery elm
Aloe Vera juice
Apple cider vinegar
Almonds, macadamia nuts
Quinoa for protein
Beetroots

There's a lot of healthy things I take but not just for my hair. It's for my overall health and having healthy hair is just on added benefit

My hair tends to favor dark leafy veggies, veggies that grow from the soil, nuts, milk, and omega 3's from fish. Protein that I get from meats tends to mainly go to my muscles because I work out and I have a lot of dense muscle mass from genetics mainly. My hair really likes any type of essential oils as well. Fruits don't really have an impact on my hair growth, I mainly use fruits to keep my blood sugar in check and to help clear my skin and keep it soft. And lastly, lots of water :)

Recently I've been making an effort to eat more:

Foods from the onion family;
Cruciferous vegetables, both raw and cooked;
Protein from a variety of sources;
Omega 3 foods -fish & avocado are favourites;
Nuts & seeds, particularly almonds & brazils;
Trying to drink more water;
Silica foods - wholegrain carbs, spinach, & mangoes (finally an excuse to scoff loads of mangoes!)
Carrots - vitamin A;
Beans - contain several essential nutrients.

I'm avoiding undercooked egg whites like the plague as they block biotin absorption.

Hoping it all makes a difference & help my hair thicken back up.

The only "superfood" I eat is soup, by the boatloads. 2 giant bowls a day. Vegetable/potato soup. My mom makes 4L of the stuff every Sunday, then we eat it Sunday when it's ready, and she waits until it cools off to put it in portions for the rest of the week. Awesome!

I am so skeptical about any sort of 'superfoods'. Better to eat a variety of whole foods IMO, for your hair and body :p

Yummmm Lapushka I love vegetable soups in winter - so delicious and convenient! And healthy to boot :D

I am taking brewer's yeast and it works pretty well! My friends have noticed a significant hair growth as well.
