The mermaid...I've had my eye on it for a long time but I think it's too big...and there aren't any funds left...sigh...

And here's me thinking it gets lost on me!

Both really are gorgeous in person, but not quite right for my ever-whitening colouring. Makes me sad, as I also love the unusual shape of both of them, too. :justy:

Ugh, I hate that crystawni! Hugs!! I have an Isis tusk I freaking adore the shape of but the wood is just a little off in color. So freaking sad. :hmm: maybe I could stain the wood?!

I've thought of doing the same thing, actually. We're baaaaad. :p I think if the mermaid doesn't sell, I may give staining a go.

I'm kind of in love with that Elymwold!! I shouldn't be buying, but wow is it ever tempting! How hasn't anyone bought it yet??

I'm surprised, too, with the rarity of Nigel's forks now as he is sticking with making sticks. It certainly would be a stunner in your hair as well as complimenting it, Caraid.

PMed you about the claret ash and silky oak!

Replied, Stevy! :)

Is he only making sticks now? He promised several months ago to make me a fork, and I haven't heard anything more from him since.

I messaged him a while back about a fork and got a friendly reply back saying he'd been having some medical trouble with his hands and could only do light lathe work at present. Wishing him a very speedy recovery!

Oh, yes, indeed!

It's been a long, slow road for Nigel after surgery a while ago. I hope he does get some more forks out there (I love his work so much!), but for now as Stevy said, he's sticking to lathe work.

Oh, and the Elymwold will be flying the coop across the oceans! :D I hope it doesn't get too puffed out..! :p Only the beautiful mermaid remains. :)
