First bun. Secured with only 1 bobbypin. I don't know if you can see because it kind of blends in the pix. But it eats all my curls!

Congrats on your first bun! It really does look lovely. Your curls will be happy once they're let out of the bun. Curly hair just loves to stay curly and the bun's twisting gives it even more of a reason! You've got very pretty hair.

Thank you all.

30isthenewblack,
My hair color is mostly natural except for a few lingering hightlights. I cut the majority of them out but had to stop before I had a full mullet. :)

Looks great! The GOOD part of having thinner hair is that you can do updos much, much sooner. My hair has to be almost ten inches longer than yours to get the same effect for a bun! It's a very nice updo on your curly hair and the color and condition looks GREAT!

Very nice!

I remember one member once giving a metric that you were officially a long hair if you could make a bun hold with a single pin. (It's no help for the slippery-haired folks, and I suspect that the ability eventually goes/grows away, but I like it.)

Welcome to the ranks of the bun-heads!
