Has anyone here bought anything from CopperStreetStudios (https://www.etsy.com/se-en/shop/CopperStreetStudios?ref=listing-shop-header-item-count) on Etsy?

I'm really tempted by two of the barrettes (this (https://www.etsy.com/se-en/listing/248616592/elegant-hair-barrette-set-coffee-brown?ref=shop_home_active_20) and this (https://www.etsy.com/se-en/listing/231229755/hair-clip-bun-holder-copper-hair-slide?ref=shop_home_active_1)) but I'm a bit hesitant. Partly because I don't know how well they will hold my hair and partly because the tangleability of the wrapped wires.

I'd be interested in other's experiences too; I have not bought from similar shops because of that very same concern.

They are very pretty barrettes but I know without a doubt that my hair would get severely caught up in those open loops .

I ended up ordering this one (https://www.etsy.com/listing/244209786/copper-brooch-pin-shawl-pin-with-green?ref=shop_home_active_4) (the similar one I linked to in my first post was a bit too big and Debra will close up the right loop of this one before sending it to me) and will report back when I get it.

I convo'ed with Debra about both the size and the beads and she was very nice and helpful and both size and beads were possible to change.

Now that is pretty and looks fairly hair safe.

Hope we see action pics

Is the stick attached?

I'm not sure actually. I think it's loose but I'll let you know once I get it.

Ooh that's pretty similar to the one I really liked https://www.etsy.com/listing/231229755/hair-clip-bun-holder-copper-hair-slide?ref=shop_home_active_13 is yours worn the same way or like a barrette? Can't wait to see pictures!

Yes they are loose...it is pictured on her link above.

They are really pretty!

I think my hair is too fine for that to hold well though :hmm:

Let us know how they work ;)

My barrette came yesterday and I'm very pleased with it. It was well packed and came with cleaning instructions as well as a small cleaning sponge.

I tried it today and it holds very well, better than I thought actually. Granted I only wore it for about two hours because then I was going out to do some digging in the garden and didn't want to take any chances with it but during the time I wore it it didn't move at all.

Oh wow that's lovely. I'd be so paranoid about the wires though, my hair gets caught in literally everything... earrings, nose rings, necklaces...

Newbie for meeeeeeee (https://www.etsy.com/listing/524448633/small-silver-hair-slide-wire-wrapped?ref=)... :) My biggest decision was copper or silver--I can go with either thanks to my colouring but went with silver this time for pop.

It's smoothly made and rigid enough, and holds beautifully, but I have to be careful as my hair wants to play in the curly bits on the ends and the stick. It slides out in the end no worries, though. The customer service was lovely, and the package was mailed from over the border in the US with tracking. Packaging was lovely, too, but no instructions or sponge. :p
