So it looks as if it is time for my first hairiversary post! Be prepared for lots of photos :)
My hair journey technically began in July 2014 where I started notice that my hair was really, really damaged and I had terrible breakage. I also had thin, straight ends, which was a bad contrast against my healthy(er) curly hair. All this damaged was caused by a home made bleach/ dye I had used in May 2014. Tip: don't bleach your hair with baking soda, just don't do it. Anyway by the time I joined LHC in October 2014 I was still pretty unhappy with how my hair looked, the ends were still thin and scraggly. Heres a photo:

So yeah that's what it looked like, I also had crazy layers. Not a good time for my hair.
I got so fed up with it that in November 2014 I chopped 3 inches, my ultimate goal was to grow my hair out but this just wasn't working.
So heres the cut, it measured 22 inches.

I cut it myself and it was so much healthier!

This is what it looks like now! Its nearly 26 inches dry, and over 27 inches wet, I intend to keep on growing until waist, or perhaps even further! This is the longest my hair has ever been and I'm very excited! Its about BSL right now :) I haven't used any heat or dye on my hair in over a year and I have about 8 inches of virgin hair, and I mainly co wash. And also, since last year my hair is considerably thicker, especially the ends!

Thanks for reading, and I'm sorry the photos are so big!
