I'm a COwasher. I've found that all of the traditional conditioners my hair hates- including the vo5, suave naturals, etc.
Typically only use coconut oil on dry hair, sometimes sweet almond oil.
I also reallllllly wanted to reduce the chemicals (I still use conventional hairdye).
My hair is I'm guessing a mix of 2c/3a, thin strands, porous, and dense (A LOT of hair on this head).
I tried Avalon Organics - a variety. My hair really seemed to like the Lavender Conditioner. After it dried (with no coconut oil) it looked amazing. Best curls yet. However, in the shower- minimal slippage and tangled mostly. I actually hate these products in the shower, but love the dry hair it creates.
I want to try the Shea Moisture line of products (which are available locally), but I discovered the Just Natural hair & skincare line of products. Has anyone tried them? I like the idea of the ingredients list- super natural. It's expensive (to me) so I don't know if it's worth it.
