I started out with a French Twist secured with a Ketylo stick. For some reason, twists have started working for me again, even though my hair should be too long for them. The twisty Ketylos hold them nicely.

At this moment though, it's in an Equilibrium bun, 'cause I saw OhioLisa's video (I think it was her) on TBB and just now figured out how to do it.

I was playing with it earlier, trying to make a heart-shaped bun, and I mostly-succeeded. I started without a pony, and rope-braided up the back for 3 turns, then made a cinnamon-ish bun with each rope strand, and skewered each with a hairstick, so the hairsticks corss somewhat near the base of the heart.

My experiment was mostly successful--it's stayed in, even if it's not perfectly heart-shaped. I shall have to refine it, and take a picture.:o

Mine is in a heart bun today, with an extra twist on the length. So now instead of a heart (or a pretzel), it looks like a complicated asymmetrical wide knot low on the nape. It's very comfortable! I should get a pic of it.

Still only took about 20 seconds to do. I like hairstyles that are fast, use only one or two hairtoys, and look like you spent hours. :D

Today at work: tomorrow is washing day so I made an ordinary braid at the nape of my neck, wrapped it around my head, and sewed it in place with a thin silk ribbon. Pretty nice and comfy. Sort of Julia Timoshenko style, but with the ribbon. A ribbon holds much better than pins of any sort.

Today was my very first attempt at double French braids, one on each side of the head. I guess their technically lace braids, because I only picked up hair from one side. I braided until they were away from my head, then combined both braids and did the rest of it.

They're messy, and loose, but I'm keeping them in!

A single Dutch Braid. Last night I slept in the 2 dutch braids I wore all day, that worked out so well it may be my new sleep 'do. So I need practice at dutch braids. It took me 3 tries this morning to get one that looked "sort of" OK, then I redid it after we got home from breakfast and meeting. This one seems OK, and I have a cute little fussy pony holder on the end.

I thought it would be easier doing the braid on wet hair, but redoing it on dry hair worked much, much better. Lesson learned.

My sloppy hodgepodge do. I have almost all of it pulled back and flipped up in a cheap silver hair slide, and the one piece that doesn't make it into the slide is braided on the right side of my head to keep individual hairs from getting stuck in things. My almost-nosetip-length bangs are parted approximately in the center and loose.

After a whole day my hair has been in a four strand braided bun, 8 bun, messy bun and now it's newly washed and loose. With any luck it will have dried, every thing is relative, before I go to bed.

An English braid, but I started it as a French braid. Someone here had that idea and it really does help with weight distribution. Coiled the braid up into a bun and secured it with a hairstick with a pretty dangle.

Surpisingly enough I am wearing it in a high ponytail, today, held up by a scrunchy twisted thrice in order to avoid damage. I haven't worn that style in ages, but just playing around with it I not only discovered that it was quite comfortable to have my hair in a different position for a change, but also, that I can create a completely new look out of it by slightly twisting it and than pulling it over my left shoulder. It's now long enough for it to stay there, looking all sleek and elegant - yeah!!! :cheese:
