So I have a problem with most clips. Long or short, my hair is too fine for a hair clip to hold my hair all day. I have always bought clips with the idea that they would hold my hair back, and they never have. I even bought into the clips with the little rubber nubs inside, and those were even worse.

I recently picked up some cheap Scunci clips with inner teeth... OMG, these clips are GREAT! These suckers grab onto hair and don't let go! These clips just made my life!

Here is a link to similar ones to mine. Mine are more plain and honestly, I wish I found these cute ones first. http://amzn.to/1QiZeqF I think mine were a couple dollars cheaper. I found them at my local grocery store! I can't even find these on Scunci's site.

Has anyone else tried these? Does anyone else have any other great clip recommendations?

I haven't tried those, but I love Scunci! I buy their no-slip grip claw clips that have the silicone pads inside. They work like a charm! Now that my hair is longer I bought one for "thick hair". It's amazing

I might have to try these! I have such a hard time getting claw clips to hold for me. I usually buy them thinking I'll wear them and then I end up using them to hold wet, conditioner soaked hair up in the shower until they break or get rusty lol

I love claw clips for holding up buns- cinnabuns, etc. They seem to really help distribute the weight better for me than a stick sometimes.

But I have the same problem as Nadine, with the clips sometimes not staying in my hair.

Oh, they look great! I bet the second set of teeth adds to the grip a lot! :applause Thanks so much for the heads-up, bed_head!

Personally, I like these ones: Goody Half-Moon Claw Clips (9 teeth) (http://www.amazon.com/Goody-Half-Moon-Claw-Clip/dp/B004G59GFA/ref=pd_sim_194_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1W42C2HFRQG8ECTYVAS3). They are very affordable and smooth. I can't tell if they work specifically in super-slippery hair, but they can hold a lot of hair. For example, JJJLongHair/LadyLongLocks (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qQP50kNpO4) uses them quite a lot to hold her floor-length mane. :)

I bought the small version of those and were okish for me, sometimes they worked and sometimes thet got lost! (my hair is slippy to death ). Claw clips and my scalp dont get along!

Love these too. I found some big ones like this that are my go to hair toys right now since it's still fairly short.

That's odd, with those inner teeth, but if they work for you, hey, woohoo! I have the ones with the rubber coating on the inside, and that's fine enough for a half-up after washing the hair. But if I ever come across these, I'll give 'em a go!

Be very careful when removing those claws with those teeth inside. :knuckle:Yes, they do hold very securely, but mine often get caught in my hair and then rip some hair out upon removal if I am not super slow and careful, so I rarely use this kind with the teeth inside. I do love :crush: two claw clips (without the innerteeth) to hold up damp buns. :eye:

ETA bed_head I noticed you live in California and if there is a Ross Stores close to you, they get beautiful claw clips in all the time, just keep checking in their hair accessory section. :disco:
