What the title said..describe a memorable hair commercial that stuck in your minds eye :) or influenced you in some way..

Timotei- featured an extremely long-haired, probably classic length, silky straigt blonde haired lady with a white horse..? Maybe it was lady Godiva?
But this commercial made me run out and buy hair bleach and bleach my hair that night like a total crazy person..lol:crazyq::justy:

Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific- I cant remember the commercial other than people commenting and saying repeatedly "Gee your hair smells terrific" tag line which is also product name...genious! Super-fragranced that lingered...it did make your hair smell terrific!

Pantene- they have all the unreal mega super-shiny lit by a million flood lights hair

okay now your turn to describe.............

I am old enough to remember Breck Girls. Oh, my envy was great - that lovely soft smooth hair with gentle waves. So unlike my stick straight stringy hair. Sigh.

Lmao @ PERT with the lady on the trampoline!

At least some alternate textures were showcased. It seems all you ever see on commercials these days is poker straight.

The Timotei commercial in which a lady with very long hair washes her hair with looooots of shampoo and then rinses it in a barrel and we were like "yeah, this is never going to get rid of all this shampoo!" (this was back in the eighties, I believe).

I was not alive (my mother neither I think LOL) when this aired. But when I was a little kid in the early 90's, mom used to put big curlers to get that big volume wave hair instead of her beautiful ringlets (she wanted Cindy Crawford hair) a friend of hers used sing this song to her. I dont know why, but everytime I get to see someone in curlers I sing this as well. :p or say SHAME ON YOU!!

There was one for Prell shampoo where they'd drop a "pearl" into the bottle of green shampoo and you could watch it sink slowly to the bottom. I think this was to show how thick their shampoo was? I'm probably dating myself here. I think they even put plastic pearls in the bottles for a while.

We're all dating ourselves..lol but its fun reminiscing. I do remember that pearl too.

No wonder we all remember commercials so well. We didnt have Fast forward options or commercial free HBO or you tube.. we were inundated with the same commercials a million times a day..lol Those jingles were burnt into our memory!

Yes, the pearls, lol. And the teen magazines always had a Breck girl ad on the back. (Of course, I remember Ipana toothpaste and Bucky Beaver, too.) I think there was Halo shampoo, also.

That's a great commercial, I remember when hair rollers were very popular. Regretfully I missed the 60s too, but I remember watching some of the 1960s tv shows on reruns when I was a kid in the 70s/ 80s, and those stiff hairstyles. I think everyone used Dippity Do back then, my mother used it in her hair in the 70s with those pink rollers, it had a very distinct smell:

And the White Rain commercials. There were several of them too.

All the Herbal Essences ads where a woman is practically having an orgasm. Seriously, who has that much fun washing their hair.

Something like 20 years ago, they had a commercial here for Andrelon with the line 'Pam, je haart danst' which translates to 'Pam, your hair dances'. Link here. (https://youtu.be/C1_5mXiz5o8)

This one is pretty memorable, as we had a male friend with quite coarse and curly hair which looked around SL. I'm sure it came down to at least mid back when stretched. He mostly wore it in a low ponytail, but at one point he had it down and it pretty much behaved like a helmet, so stiff.
One yelled: 'B, your hair dances!'
In response he grabbed most of his hair in two hands and moved it around, like dancing a puppet. We had some good giggles. :D

I do remember those Herbal Essences commercials, it was a good lesson not to trust commercials and take them literal. :o

I love asian shampoo commercials. Most of them basically say that no man will ever fall in love with you if your hair isn't 10/10, lol. I never even used rejoice but it's kind of nice in comparison to these glamorous and self obsessed Loreal ads.

I have nothing to say except snarky things ;P

"The freedom to color... The freedom to tie..." The freedom to spend...

Gotta love when really expensive looking things are introduced and then destroyed in a commercial.

I think the only one I remember is the Garnier one. I dunno, I NEVER paid any attention to the ads on tv when I was really young. By the time I was old enough to have shows I cared about and wanted to watch, we had a DVR lol They're all really unrealistic though.

The newest Herbal Essence - can't remember exactly which one it's for - but it takes place in the rainforest. The extended cut is hilarious, basically like they're trying to play on the whole "shampoo commercials are silly" idea and they definitely have fun with it.

I envied her hair. Didn't the people who made that product ever consider that customers might think twice about using green stuff on their hair? I think it came in yellow too, didn't it? We always had at least one jar of green Dippity Do in the house.

what about this? Another one that makes me want to cut bangs and then jump off a cliff, cause the rest of the scenario isnt included in the price of the shampoo. at least Shiseido keeps the hair in advertisements mostly real.
