Not really. I doubt most of them know I have classic length hair by now. It's always in a LWB with a 2-prong fork.

Not that my hair is that long, but being male and having long hair makes people refer to me as "the long-haired man".
But people also refer to me as "the man with really pale skin".

As as child all of us got known as the ones with two plaits. It became a trademark. That's my mother and grandmother's fault.
Family did notice that we've got different hair types but everyone had thick hair. My siblings and cousins more or less had the same length hair too. In school there were those with longer hair and those with shorter hair. They ranged from thick to thin, kinky curly to curly to wavy to straight. I also had the average dark hair.
I did recently speak to a family friend from the Caribbean who I hadn't seen since I was 12. He asked if I still had all that hair. I was surprised at being remembered like that.

No I am notorious because of my attitude. My cousins, aunts and uncles know my goal in life is to ruin their day when by freak accident we are in the same location. I don't do things against my will so it's accidental meetings or when I am conned into get togethers. Which means some one should know better by now and completely deserves it!

I'm known for my hair, but not for the length. Since I was a little kid (or, at least, since my hair color changed to red :p ) I've been referred to as, 'the redhead' or 'the ginger' or 'that girl with the red hair'. So, I've always been known for my hair, but never for the length, and I'm wondering if that'll change at some point. One of the things I'm excited for with getting to longer lengths is when people will start asking more about that than my color. Basically, I'm curious as to what the magic length is for people to stop automatically noticing the color, and instead notice the length? I don't mind, at all, to be known for the color - I'm just curious, if you know what I mean.
Though, if I'm being honest with myself, it's probably never going to happen. Indoors, my hair looks a fairly bland color, but when I go outside it gets super vibrant - a lot of people refuse to believe it isn't dyed - so even if I had super long hair, I'd probably still only be noticed for the color. The woes of gingerhood :p

Even before I cut my hair, people generally identified me by my boobs. They aren't freakishly big or anything, but they do tend to stand out in a crowd I guess since that is what friends tell me is the first thing they noticed (and I swear don't dress to emphasise them). Hopefully, since I started using henna, it will become the redhead and not the-chick-with-giant-knockers. ;) Maybe, in a couple years, once my hair is back to where it was, people will start calling me the long haired redhead.

Preach sister. I feel you on this one so very much. I'm a 10F in Australian sizing (where I'm from, I believe it's 32F US or 32G UK in other countries). When people are try to describe me they'll politely try to avoid the topic of my tatas until they get frustrated with the other person. It usually goes this way "She's the short one... Long red hair.... With the posh accent.... OH MY GOD! HUGE BOOBS. SHE'S THE ONE WITH THE HUGE BOOBS." Then the realization dawns lol. Bane of my life.

Been a while since I've been on. Here's a recent pic of my hair now. Almost waist length. I'm 4'7, and now I'm basically known for short with long hair. At my work, customers are now commenting on how long my hair is. Now that's it almost to goal of WL, I'm kinda wanting to grow it to TBL. What do u guys think?

Nah, it's usually my eyes, if they get close enough to see my eyecolour. I have one blue eye and one brown eye. I guess people also notice my hair colour, since it's a pretty vibrant red that kind of looks natural and unnatural at the same time.
As for length, it's not unusually long these days. Lots of girls/women have hip length hair around here. When it was tbl+, I wore it up all the time so no one got to see how long it was. :p

People are starting to notice my hair although it is up most of the time. A couple of weeks ago some of my colleagues shaved their hair for charity, and they tried to persuade me to join in,my boss said it was highly unlikely as he had seen my hair loose and it was really long! He indicated that it was classic, i felt guilty about this so highlighted that it was only almost TBL.
Previously I have been noticed for being short, large eyes and prominent boobies.

i am definitly NOT known for my hair.
i burnt my hair and it took three years to have a good length back, with very ugly hair during this time, too short for me to love, and bizarre colors.
i used to live in paris, where most of the people have "short" hair and dye and blow dry. after three years i was very happy because i started to love my hair again, and the henna and lenght made my hair kind of pretty and "not like parisian hair". i moved to an another town, were EVERYBODY have long hair, beautiful and natural, even the men wear them past mi-back. lots of metal heads, too, black and curly hair everywhere.
back to be the shortest hair in the room.

I'm known as a person who loves to talk about hair :-)))) More than 3 years here and still no long hair :-( I will get there one day.

I'm known for being a little eccentric in general- which includes my hair being long, and the strange things I put in it (i.e. eggs).
Both my long-haired sisters got their hair cut from hip/TBL to MBL (while I'm at TBL heading for classic), so I finally get to be the long haired sister

Nope, I'm a secret long hair, it's always up so very few people know how long it actually is. ;)

I wouldn't say I'm known for my hair really, but people know it's a hobby/interest of mine. I often post on FB about it, or put up pictures of new styles I've tried out and friends often tag me in hair related posts.

Definitely. I'm the guy with the big ponytail or the guy with long hair at my new job. Not so much with family or friends though I am sure they use that to describe me to others.

I used to be known for my red hair, but not anymore. I guess I'm known for having an interest in hair, though. :p
