Hi! I've not been active on here for awhile. My hair is still "long" although sadly not as long as it used to be. Ive had some problems with thinning hair the last year or so, my thickness has gone now. I have a wedding to attend on Saturday and have been wanting to do a nice updo. However my original go to styles have not been working for me because of the thinness. They look a bit feeble to me! Any ideas what I could do?

Below is my attempt at a Chinese Braided bun. And also an up to date picture of my length. As you can see its thinning a lot at the ends.

Any help appreciated!!

Could you try to do two buns, one on top of the other, and then put a large accessory like a flower on one side? I used to do that a lot when my hair was longer and it's sort of a gentle look. The buns could be loose so they look bigger and the accessory is useful to hide if they aren't perfectly in the middle. If not, some sort of braided updo would probably be best, since you can tug the pieces a little to make it look thicker, y'know? Sorry, that's the best I've got. Hopefully someone will come along with better ideas.... (I don't think I'm actually qualified for this!)

I hope the picture shows up but thought it would be nice to see some ideas you had in mind
The second one is a milkmaid braid.
