I thought that I would start to check the old buns I used to do and check if they are still workable with my hair after 8 years of growing.

First out is the Everyday Bun which has been a favourite the last month or so. It is very comfy and plays well in my slippery hair as it is not based on a lot of twisting (so the is no untwisting forces at play).

I would love to see pictures on your attempts if you decide to try it out!

I may try this soon enough, although my first hair stick only came today and I need to get the knack with it! You and I have quite similar hair in both type and length, so it's good to see a tutorial with hair like mine.

Great to see even knee can still do updos fairly easily. I often wonder about that - will I still be able to wear it like this at x-amount of length. Thanks! :D

...I probably should have brushed my hair first.

Prettyy sumidha! I think this style can be good for a more messy look, compared to a lot of other buns :)

This is the way I've been doing your Everyday Bun since I first saw it a couple of years ago. It's still one of my favorites! I'll have to take a picture tomorrow and put it up for you. I especially love this bun because I wear my hair in a sidecut (the left side of my head is shaved), and it unbalances a lot of buns. Some of them are just downright impossible. But this one works super well and is really comfortable even with the sidecut! Love, love, LOVE!~

I figured this one out just before you posted this video. Thanks for giving it a name for me. :D

I can do it with a stick. I've worn it a full day without any problem.

But I can also wear it with just one long u-pin. This way the swirl of the bun is really pretty. This is also secure enough to stay up the whole day. This also makes my bun look bigger than usual. :joy:

Last night, I took my stick out of this bun and it didn't drop, but just stayed there perfectly. That was a first on very clean hair (no more than a day after washing). It felt like a milestone.

Finally got around to getting these off my camera. The lovely swirl effect doesn't show as much on me, but it still looks lovely. I like how big and soft it is. Anyway, here's what it looks like on type 3a/m/ii/iii hair that's been ombre'd.

EDIT: Second picture got bork'd. Let's try this again.
