Hi ladies and gents of the LHC. I have my brother's wedding that I am attending next weekend in Virginia. I need some hairstyle ideas for the wedding. I'm about BCL, F/M, slightly wavy. I was leaning towards a crown braid or crown twist but I can't get them to look very polished. What do you guys think?
Here is my dress:

Perhaps a two strand lace rope crown braid? Here's a tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPHEzUr5bWQ

I think the style in your picture would be perfect. Also, it looks like you have enough length to try the Madora. :)

I think you should do the pretty bun in your signature! The winding braid accent is lovely and dressy

Thanks guys! The lace crown twist I can't get to look not messy on me no matter how much I try.
I will definitely start practicing the spiral braid in my picture again. My hair was a tiny bit shorter when that picture was taken. And the Madora is a lovely style too, I wonder if I have length for that. Great ideas!

Hey everyone! I ended up doing the Madora on damp hair, and it came out beautifully! I got so many compliments on my hairstyle last night. Here's a pic:

Thanks Madora! It was a perfect hairstyle for the hot weather. It was comfortable and very secure, in addition to being beautiful :)

That's gorgeous! :) You did *great* with it. My hair is too thin for such a thing.

Ohhh! If your hair is long enough for the Madora I think mine is too! Hair looks beautiful and super-cute dress-- I'll bet you looked (and hope you felt) gorgeous :)

The Madora...I love it! I wish I had such creative bun skills that someone named my signature style after me. Props to Madora! It looks really pretty on you, Vanilla!

Thanks so much! The key for me is to braid with damp hair. I can't get enough tension on my smooth, slick hair to pull off this style with already dry hair. I did the same in my avatar picture, as it's easier for me to braid that way.

That looks beautiful, Vanilla!!
Granted, my hair is nowhere near long enough to try this on myself yet... but in case it is in the future, could anybody tell me where I would be able to get the instructions for this gorgeous style?

Wow, that's gorgeous, Vanilla! Mine is nowhere near long enough for that, but it looks fantastic!
I hope you have a great time at the wedding. :D
