Welp... it's been about a year and a half since I cut off all my long henna'd hair and dyed it green. ...horrible idea. The cutting was a good idea, but the green looked atrocious on me. It's been many colors since then, but I've finally chopped off most of the damaged ends (the worst of it anyways) and am on my way to growing it out I do think. I know I've said that before, but this time my hair is much healthier, despite being bleached. Speaking of which... have you heard of a product called "Olaplex"? It's supposed to be amazing. You mix it with bleach to keep it from damaging the hair so much. Must try it sometime if I bleach again in the future.

BUT... for now... I am going to let my roots grow out. I'd tried to dye it to my natural color, but I ended up not liking it and bleached it back out. So now we have this sort of ombre fire look going on that I LOVE. Wasn't too hard to do and I think it looks reallly good. Going to stick in the orange, red, and pinks family so I don't have to bleach. Finally evened out the bleached hair at my scalp so that it's even so now's a good time to GROW GROW GROW!!! Anyways, on the the pics... I also think this length looks good though, but hoping it feels longer by Christmas. :)

Oh, and in case you were wondering.... I used Special Effects Napalm Orange on top, N Rage Hot Pink in the middle, and Special Effects Blood Red on the bottom. :)

I love the colors! Very cool. I don't have any experience with Olaplex myself but I know quite a few people have said it worked really well for them. http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=124721

Thanks! I figured there were some people on here talking about it already. :D

I love the shading; that is awesome *:OD

For a long time i had just 1 raspberry colour all over but as my hair grew longer I stopped bleaching the roots evenly, added few darker strikes and I quite like getting a more un-even head with locks of different tones if not colour; aside of the reduced maintenance.

As for the bleach, I find that volume 20 is better than volume 40 to my hair for doing the same thing.
I do not mix it with anything but I do leave it for only half the time on near black roots, not very well too, miss a bit is "nevermind". It goes over the previously dyed and bleached (or missed) hair a bit but not on the length, therefore saving them from too much damage.
I thought I mention as it is the only thing I do different to other rainbow heads friends I have, except that the length is not dried-out from over-bleaching.
That the only "advice" I have.

goOo ...FIRE!

I use 20 volume with bleach on my roots. The only time I've used 40 volume on my hair was to try and get out henna. Worst idea ever. Did it twice and fried my hair. Finally cut all of that damage off though over the last year and am finally on my way to growing it back out! :)

Love the colours! and I've been growing out my bleach for years but after all the positive reports of Olaplex I am really, really tempted to bleach again! :P

Cool colors! Whenever I see the thread title, for just a second I think someone got their hair burnt with fire, though!:run:

Very pretty! I've done ombre, mine was a reverse, strawberry blond at the scalp (close to my natural color, just upped the red) and dark cherry red at the ends. That way I was using less bleach on the older hair, it helped me maintain my length
