Hair porosity question

Okay now this is weird. I've been looking up how to test hair porosity. My hair stays on the top with the water bowl hair sinking test. When I rub a hair the opposite way, there is little to no resistance from the cuticles. But otherwise I have a lot of frizz, especially in humid weather. I'm wavy to curly.
So I'm trying to figure out is my hair very porous or not? It should be because it's frizzy, but "tests" show it's not?

The water test is bunk.

I have always thought I have high porosity hair because of the friz, but it also reacts a lot like low porosity to products. So, I'm still not sure. Now I just go with what works for me.

It's pretty safe to say that chemically treated/damaged hair is porous.
