I've been describing my hair as 1c but I never did a formal hair typing photo. Does 1c sound right? I didn't do a perfect hair typing photo but this is my hair washed (clarifying shampoo) and conditioned. I put a tiny bit of Panacea in it but I didn't brush, plop, or otherwise manipulate my hair. I just patted it with a t-shirt and let it dry.

To me you look like a proper wavy, 2a maybe. Very pretty hair :)

Echoing this. :) Clear waves. The photo is a bit dark to see all of yor hair, but at least the sides look 2a.

That looks like 1c/2a to me. A little too little individual wave, more of a body wave... to be 2a IMO.

I have to agree with lapushka. I do think you could push it more into the 2a category with plopping, but as your hair is naturally, it leans more on the 1c side to me.

I'd call it 2a. Those are definitely waves, not the "maybe sorta wavy?" texture of 1c/2a.

I would keep it as a 1c, the waves are more of a body thing than defined s-shapes. If you plopped or scrunched you could be a solid 2a, but for now, I don't think so.

LOL, now you see why I"M finding it so hard to type my hair - especially as i seem to have three sorts.

lol I definitely do. Hair typing is useful but not an exact science.

Thanks so much everyone. I'm glad I'm not too off-track thinking of my hair as being in the general 1c/2a area.

It looks more 2a at the ends but 1c at top. I'd say 1c/2a, but I always find hairtyping difficult. Pretty hair though :)

Oh yeah, mine's mainly 1c, a bit 2a, with some 3a thrown in there just for the heck of it.
