Making your own hair sticks?

What would you guys say about making your own hair sticks? Do you think it would be better or not worth to time and better to buy? I'm currently using pencils so I was hoping it get a pair sometime soon.

I'd say buy a cheapy wooden pair off of Etsy. Or make your own. If you have the tools and are handy, I bet it's not that difficult. :)
