So, this is the first time I try to figure out my hair type. I think I've been wrong about my hair type all along. Without product it looks like I'm a waive and not a curly at all. This is the first time I have let my hair dry untouched and no product since I was 13!
So, let me have it. What am I? 2b? 2c?...2a?

AACK! I don't know how to make the pictures smaller, so here is a link to the album (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/album.php?albumid=12369) with the rest.

Honestly...I still think 3a with *some* 2c :D somewhere on here it was posted that curlies/wavies prefer to do their hair typing with it styled as they usually do. It's more or less about how much curl potential you have. I vote 3a. :)

I would say you are 2c/3a. I too misjudged my hair type for like 5 years. I thought I was 3b...but really I'm more of a 3a.

Whatever it is, it's similar to mine, and I don't know either. I just tell people I have spirally waves or wavy spirals, but if I list it somewhere I put 2c/3a because I think I'm a hybrid type.

I think your 2c/3a classification you identified before is correct. :) And I definitely see curls forming there. :D

Thanks! I guess I'll just keep treating it the way I have. This wasn't going to change my methods, but I'm one of those people who wants to know, ya know?
So, I'll keep it 2c/3a.

I go with 2c/3a as well.

I'd go for a 2c for the upper section of your hair, and 3a for the lower section of your hair. The difference between the curl definition of the hair that is and isn't as damaged is quite considerable.
