I'm dressing as her tomorrow, and I haven't found a teasing free tutorial. Any thoughts?

Here's some pictures:

I wonder if it has two parts, each a small distance away from center going at a slight angle. The side sections are gathered first and then the middle section is added so it is over them before all are bunned. Maybe a little bit of gel or something and plooping will give you enough scalp volume for that tiny bit of height I imagine is otherwise achieved by backcombing?

Are the two parts you're referring to on the sides, or the top? I was thinking of maybe doing disguised (trying not to show the rolled end) victory rolls and the the bun, maybe?

If you had a hair rat or a bump it or something similar, you could get away without teasing, but that kind of volume is sort of impossible otherwise.

Yeah, I know...*sigh* I'm berating myself for throwing away the "useless" hair rats I collected.

If I'm seeing it right, the two parts are on the top.

You could maybe do small braids at the sides tonight and brush them out tomorrow to get some pouffyness?

Maybe like this:

1. Part your hair
2. section a cirle of hair from your crown and clip aside
3. prepare to make a sort of halfup from hair that grows at sides and front of your head. Do both sides of your hair separately so you'll keep the part. Gather the side hair, twist slightly, and push it forward to create a poof, then bobby pin in place at a spot the the bun will eventually hide. Do this to both sides of your head.
4. un-clip the crown hair, make a ponytail of it (no elastics), twist it once, push upward. Again this creates a poof, but this time at the crown. Pin with bobby pins, also at a spot that will be under the bun.
5. now gather all the hair that is still hanging loose and make a loose cinnabun. Place it over the bobby pins, and use more bobby pins or U-shaped hair pins to secure it.

--> poofy, poppins-like hairdo

If you have dry shampoo or hair powder, or some other styling products, those would help a lot too!
