Hello! As some of you may know, I've been growing out my bangs for about 9 months now and I'm actually quite pleased with their length. They hover around chin length, I can pin them up or let them down as I wish and that's great! However, I have a problem... whenever I let them down in a center part just like that, they fall in my face all. the. time.
Here is what they look like:

Now, since I wear glasses, I'm looking for a way to make them curl outwards a little so they don't constantly fall onto my frames and get caught in them. I want them to frame my face instead of acting like a curtain. :P

This is what I'd love to achieve:

I think you can tell where I'm getting my inspiration from. ^^
I'm also looking to grow them maybe an inch or so longer than they are now so you can take that into account.

I'm terrible with heat styling tools and would rather not use them.

I'm open for any suggestions! Thank you for your help :)

P.S.: I'm currently experimenting with two tiny rope braids and will report back with results tomorrow. :)

You could do finger curls and pin them up with bobby pins. moisten the hair, add whatever you like to set your hair (gel type thing), wrap the hair around your finger (or fingers, the more fingers, the bigger the wave) slide hair off fingers, press to head, pin.

Whatever direction you wrap the hair in is what direction the curl will take.

how do you style the rest of your hair? if you air dry, id prob dry the bangs 85% (keeping in mind theyll dry faster than the rest of your hair) and throw them in a roller like this http://www.shahirabarry.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Velcro-Roller-Victoras-Secret-217x300.jpg then let them dry completely. If its easier you can dry them fully in the rollers, I just find it takes too long.

I use little clips to hold back the bits that fall forward.

Rollers are great for styling bangs, only that those pictured are velcro rollers, and other types might be hair-friendlier :) I mostly use foam ones.

At the moment, I don't style my hair at all. I just let it air dry or pop it into two braids or a bun for waves.

I'm thinking whether or not it would be okay to use hot tools on my fringe only if I'm going to maintain it at this length + 1 inch.

The little rope braids I tried turned my fringe into a complete mess. It looks like it has been crimped. D:

Edit: They just look super crappy today and I'm frustrated... I might just grow them out and embrace the slicked back look. Not happy at all. :/
