Monistat anti-fungal question

Hello all,
I live in uk and we do not have monistat, but we do have vagisil. I've been reading up and it uses a different anti-fungal as it's active ingredient. Does this matter?
I've used vagisil before I realized it was different and I think it cleared my scalp but will it do any damage if i use it again?

Also, if it doesnt matter what the active anti-fungal is does anyone have any recommendations for a cheap anti-fungal cream?

Ohh...watching this with interest! Though I think DH might die of laughter if I ask him to hold the baby whilst I rub vagisil on my head :D
