Right now I am currently putting miconzale (Monistat 2%) on my scalp, I have noticed more growth but I'm not sure if it's because I keep it up most of the time and I haven't trimmed in a long time, or from the monistat. I was wondering what else there is that you can put on your scalp to help hair grow. I have heard things about crushed vitamins but I have also heard that it does nothing. I really do hate taking vitamins but I don't mind putting brings on my scalp if it would help grow healthier or quicker...

advice?

Peppermint oil! Be sure to check the label though, to verify that it is in it's pure form (nothing added or taken away).

Btw, is there a thread that explains what this monistat is?

Rebecka. It's um...well. It's an antifungal cream for lady parts. Many members swear by it for hair growth.

Member Dragon Angel posted these helpful links in December. I'd be very cautious about upsetting your scalp's natural acid mantel with anything.

If Monistat is working for you, it's quite possible that you have some sort of low-grade fungal infection on your scalp. If that's the case, a ketoconazole-containing shampoo like Nizoral, used as per instructions, would be just as or more effective and far more easy to use.

How long did you try the peppermint oil before giving up?

I have done a few growth challenges:

Monistat straight (first joined)
Monistat water mixed then added mint abstract (first joined 2 years)
Hair plus conditioner water 4 ounce spray bottle added monistat to it used up my monistat
(2014 summer)
Caffeine water 1/4 vivarian brand tablet 8 ounce water (current)
Distiller white vinegar 2 ounces 2 ounces white rain cocoanut conditioner 4 ounces of water( I use 3 times a week I got from growing horses tail on YouTube. If interested I'll look it up for you.)

I'd say when I first started using straight monistat.

Well some people find it a bit gross when its actually not bad. Ive been washing my hair with eggs for hald a year now with awesome results. Mixed it with honey and rosemary is the greatest thing my hair has known... more lenght, thickness and a lot of volume. YAY!!!
