Quasi's One Year Post

So I've been here a year. Some 2,955 posts later we arrive at today.

Lots has changed. I've been in all 4 swaps and loved every moment of it. I've bought and sold approximately One Million hair toys. And developed strong Dragon like tendencies around my "horde."

I joined Jan 31st 2014, and took my first hair shot Feb 3rd. So I took another today for comparison.

Feb 3rd, I believe this is in the middle of my Henna/Hendigo fling :nono:. Approximately 17" and Collarbone.

Aug 25th, roughly one year from my last big cut. Approximately 21.5 inches and almost APL.

Today, Feb 3rd 2015, 25" and almost BSL. My fingers are a little less than 1 inch from the bottom of my bra. That wrinkle in my shirt on the right near my hand is from the bottom of my bra strap. (FYI: My photographer for this shot is a petite giant at 6'7".)

In that last year, aside from amassing a huge hair toy fettish, I've gotten pretty good at taking photos of the back of my head. Who knew that was a skill I'd ever need in life?!?

I've made some awesome friends here. Some of whom have transferred to "real" life forms of communication. And there are a few more that I'd like to do that with, but I hesitate because stalkerish. I've met my true English doppelgänger. Now I know what my life would have been like if I had been born a Brittish. In one word, awesome!

I've learned that my hair has much more body and wave than I ever assumed. I've come to LOVE the white hairs that are growing in at my temples. I look forward with great anticipation to having TMI length white hair. No more dye for me.

I want to focus this year on not trimming my hair for as long as possible. Last trim was Dec 2014, and I don't have many splits at all, thanks to you LHC.

I want to focus less on toys this year (but who am I kidding?!) and more on styles. Buns and braids especially.

Mostly I want to continue to grow and love my hair.

You made your post "finally"! Good to know I was not the only person to think you had been around much longer :D Then again, even though it has only been a couple weeks since you said you where waiting for Feb 3rd to make yours, it currently feels like it has been a couple months.

woohoo for 8"!!! You hair is looking great and you are so close to bsl! Are you growing until you hit your goal without trimming?

oh thank you all. My hair grows pretty steady at 1/2" a month for a month or two and then it will bust out an inch. I did get a nice inch a month for Jan and Feb, after a no growth stall in Dec. And that means I average about 8" a year, less any trimming.

Hele, I did forget to mention tusks. How does something like that even happen :hmm:?

Rushli, I "plan" to keep S&Ding until I can self trim. And then I will micro trim. All of this assumes my hair stays healthy. If I find a ton of splits on an S&D mission, I'll have my friend give me a trim. But until I'm forced to, I hope to stay away from scissors as long as possible.

I was thinking I'd grow until TMI and then maintain until my henna was gone. But looking at these photo it's not really obvious where my henna ends and my real color starts, so maybe I'll just forget that I even Henna'd my hair and just let the length add on.

And my true goal changes so much in my head. I'm highly influences by pretty hair shots. So I'm just going to say that goal length is like porn. You know it when you are there.

Gorgeous thick healthy hair. Congratulations. I've been growing mine the same length of time and from the same length, I too am just short of bsl!!! I did two trims and a micro trim last year and took 1cm off last month. If I had hair like yours though I probably wouldn't have cut. It's beautiful.
