The title says it all. I'm trying to find a heat and damage free look for my hair for Valentine's Day this year.... Here are some of the styles I am interested in... Any ideas how to get hair to look like this?http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/webkit-fake-url://758b70cb-84bc-4a6a-83f4-eb98da56cc5f/imagejpeg

I can't see your photos, but have you tried rag curls? You can see tutorials on Youtube.

The girl in this video has longer hair, but you could probably modify it for your length by simply wrapping as far as you can and proceeding as she shows. There's a chance it might not work, but I figured I'd share it anyway because the waves look like the ones you were wanting.

I did my hair in braids like that last night :) going to take them out in a few hours to see how it went.

I used to use the headband method. It's really easy and I found, for my hair at least, it worked really well.

Good luck!

You could try snake waves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVMH2llkrXE. If you use thicker strips of cloth, you will get bigger waves.

Hmm those are pretty large curls, that seems to be trickier to achieve than smaller ones. I second the rag curls suggestion. Another option to try might be sock bun waves.

If you are ok with smaller curls you could try rope braid curls ( http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=128996 ). That doesn't really produce the same look though.

I tried this (my hair is naturally very wavy though) but made a bun out of the "twist brais" that I got. It actually lookdd likr a very sleek, sophosticated bun, qnd it made my waves look awesome!

I was going to suggest pin curls, but they give a different look than what you're after. :) --40's retro--
