I tried it some time ago (there are some helpful Youtube videos on this), but unfortunately, my hair is on the coarse/grabby side, so that final lacing results in tangles and frustration for me, but I really hope others can do this!

Maybe I should try that lacing of 2 braids together with a ribbon instead of my own hair some day... Maybe that will be easier? :hmm:

That's a cute one too :) I imagine a person could probably take the two braids and one chunk of hair and simply braid it for the same effect.

I've got grabby hair too and haven't tried this but it looks so cool.

Using a ribbon might be like Janet Stephens. In one of her roman hairstyle reproductions, she sews someone's braids together sideways and then makes the coolest looking bun wit the sewn together braids.
