Hi All,

I'm probably going to date myself here, but. How many of us remember The Long Hair Site (TLHS)? The original URL was: http://www.tlhs.org. The author was, and I'm going to probably trash the spelling of his last name, Frank Ploenissen. This site has been closed since 2007. It was one of the first sites I ever went to, back in the day where the only browser was Mosaic from CERN, and was not graphical at all. You could show pictures, but not video clips. This was back in the late 80's. When I first started visiting the site, it had just been updated to edition 2, and still had edition 1 available. I miss that site. It had a huge amount of information for growing and caring for long hair on women.

Frank's site was wonderful! I was a Week's Lady.

I used to occasionally check into that one have completely forgotten about it.

Wasn't there one that used to be run by someone named Fox? I think I visited that one more often, and lost track of that to.

Yes! :D

I met Frank three times (Croydon, Munich, Tokyo) and still see him on Facebook from time to time. He's a very cool guy.

That was the first site I ever found. :)
Would check in periodically and was sad when he shut it down.

I remember TLHS. It was likely the very first Internet website dedicated to long hair. TLHS was great but it had a downside - it wasn't for long-haired men. So, the Men's Long Hair Hyperboard (MLHH) was founded.

LHC took a step beyond either of those sites by catering to both women and men with long hair. I think that's much more fun. :)

Yes, I remember. I found it before I found this one.

I remember it. Lots of nice pictures but the majority of the posters weren't very friendly IMO.

Nope. That was before my time, even though I've been here since 2005. Must have missed that one. ;)

I remember that too, but I also found it not to be as friendly.

I remember it! :) Long before I was following any of the good advice or was an active forum member, though.

Very much missed. I certainly found it to be very friendly, especially with the way it conducted itself and that was all down to Frank Ploenissen. It provided my wife with many tips and put us in contact with the then George Michael salon in Harrods , London.

I think you are referring to Foxy Anya. She had both very long hair and nails. Her site was more porn than anything, so it was not someplace I regularly went to.

I remember that too, but I also found it not to be as friendly.

I remember Frank was constantly trying to protect the women on the site. There were a few instances where one of the lady's got bombarded with nasty emails for one reason or another. He also use to get faked pictures. The first one was supposedly of a woman named Gill from Australia with floor-length red hair. Someone on the site analyzed the picture and proved that it had been modified (the hair had been extended a few times).
