Hairtyping help + 1 year growth!

Hello everyone,

I am posting my one year progress at LHC! I am terrible at measuring my hair, but maybe you pros can tell me if my hair growth rate is fast, slow, or just normal. Last year, LHC'ers helped me type my hair as 2a/2b, but my hair thickness grew, so I am asking second opinions on hair type. The first picture is from Jan 2014, give or take a few weeks. The second picture was taken today. The only problems is that I washed it yesterday, and let it air dry with no product or manipulation so I can take a picture, but I fell asleep :oops: . My hair was slightly damp, when I fell asleep, but oh well. Under the circumstances, please try to hair type my hair, and shed some light on my growth :)

Showing some really distinct waves in the second picture, so definitely 2a. I wish I was at least a 2a, but instead I'm borderline 1c/2a and I have to do braid-waves for reliable waves.

Thank you so much for your comment! I was strongly considering cutting out the ombre. Now I won't :)
