I put my hair into a ponytail on top of my head as though I were going to do a compact cut, then dyed about 2 inches of the tips.

Looks good! For how long did you leave the dye in your hair?

After smooshing it into my ends, I put a plastic bag (the kind from the produce department of a grocery store) over my ponytail and secured it with a hair tie. Then I left it for 8-9 hours.

Ahhhh, makes sense. I am starting to learn that you need to leave dyes like manic panic in for quite a while in order to get good results.

I like that, too. My ends are layered, and I wanted the dye on all of my ends, so the ponytail method seemed best.

Thats looks so fun! Ive been wanting to put hot pink in my hair just over my natural color. I did that in 9th gradr and my hair came out dark-hot cranbery pink. Plus its non damaging. And my hair keeps color like that in for months.
