The obligatory "a year at LHC" thread

... although for the past several months, I haven't been active at all. I've been lurking a bit, though. Figured I'd use this thread as an opportunity to creep my way back in!
There is no stark before and after in my case, as my hair has always grown strong in spite of all the abuse I inflicted upon it. Mostly, LHC helped me resist the temptation to cut. And for that I am grateful, because I have never in my life loved my hair as much as I do now.



So, this was my first length picture, taken a year before I joined LHC.

March 2014, 2 months after I joined LHC.

how long did it take to get from your buzz cut all the way to TBL?

I don't know exactly, but probably something like 5 years, give or take. I know I had a haircut to trim the pixie mullet sometime in the Fall of 2010.
And to think I used to routinely shave my head every spring... the thought now makes me recoil in horror!

I'd always disliked my hair; its thickness, coarseness, not-quite-straight-ness... I'd never have imagined that people would ever find it beautiful, let alone be jealous of it.
I look forward to growing to classic (and beyond) with you guys and I'll try not to disappear into the shadows (although things do seem to grow faster there!) :)

The first picture was taken a whole two years ago in case that was unclear! But 20 months is plenty of time. I'm sure you can get reasonably far if you keep trimming to a minimum. Personally I haven't trimmed in, huh... years. Not counting S&D. But I do have practically indestructible hair.
