A "Sock Bun" for shoulder length!

Sorry if this isn't an original idea - I'm just excited I can do a sock bun with my barely shoulder hair! :rolling:
Oh, and I have to post the pictures in the next post because I can't do it from this computer.

So, it's the same concept as a fully-rolled sock bun - but using a knee-high stocking! Novel right??

I am impressed and inspired :applause. Is your hair all one length? I think my growing out fringe is what is holding me back from accomplishing a sock bun.

How?! I have tried with my almost-APL hair using a pop sock and it just doesn't stay!

I would love to know exactly how you do this - I never know what to do with my ends, and the sides just fall out as soon as I move my head.

Ok, lets see if I can explain:

First put your hair in a ponytail & secure with elastic.
Slide the doubled over stocking over the ponytail down to the base.
Split the tail in two.
While holding the two halves, slide the stocking out to the ends.
Fold one half over the stocking at the end, then the other.
Begin to roll the stocking toward the base while holding the two ends and rolling them with the stocking. The ends should be rolling into the bun.
Tuck any loose pieces as you roll.
When you get to the base, spread the hair around the stocking as evenly as possible.
Then secure how you like with bobbies or ficcare.

I hope that makes sense! I'll try to do a video tutorial if I can.
