2 and a half years of growing: reached my goal length (lots of pictures)

Hello !
Today I want to share my growth of 2 and a half years with you. I've started growing when I was aroung 14-15, I'm 17 now.
I know it's nothing spectacular and in the end my goal length is rather short, especially here at the LHC but I think I'm done growing n.n

During these years I've experimented so many things: 6 months of water only, 1 year of no poo with Indian Herbs, CO, now I'm back to shampoo and conditioner (even though they're homemade). I haven't used any heat at all, I've maybe blowdried my hair twice.

I've only cut my hair once in december 2012 to even my cut out, and I did two microtrims in between then and now (but I did S&D many times)
During the first year and a half, my hair was almost always up in a bun or a braid, but for the last year I've enjoyed wearing my hair down a lot more and as a result got sooo many split end, but I can't go back to buns anymore because I hate the way my face looks when I'm wearing them :(

I wanted to thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for the ressources put on this forum that I benefited from even if I don't contribute a lot to the forum :o

As you can see, my hair doesn't grow very fast, I was hoping to be at waist by 2015 and it's not the case at all
Now, I'm thinking of getting a few layers to frame my face since I wear my hair down a lot

Nice. You've got pretty, silky hair and in real life, that's long hair. I've been growing 2 1/2 years also and am the same length as you. I think it will take 5 years to get to waist for me.

You should really remember that you've come from being bald in 2 1/2 years since part of your head was shaved and you've evened it all out to match the growth of that part.

So beautiful! I'd say that it grows pretty quickly...I can't even imagine the frustration involved in growing out a sidecut. Congrats on reaching your goal!

Also love the uneven cut myself! If I still had short hair, I wish I had experimented with that sort of cut :p

Oh, so my growth is probably not as slow as I thought ^^

Actually growing out the sidecut was only awkard for a few months, then it blended pretty well with the rest of my hair (except when I was doing ponytails, it looked really stupid :p). Now the hair from the sidecut is around shoulder length
