Hello there all,
I recently discovered through using the pixie diffuse method that I can get my normally 2a/2b waves to 2c, even with some ringlets! I'm totally stoked as I've always envied curly hair but I hate the feel of sticky mousses, crunchy gels, etc. I'm looking for something that will help define my waves and be void of silicones (I'd love to get some of boots curling creme but I'm in the us). Any recommendations? I've tried Biotera mousse, Dep gel and ion curling cream and all were very disappointing to say the least!

I have the same hair type as you. I like Deva Curl light defining gel. Trick is not to put too much on and scrunch before you use the diffuser.

It has 1 water soluble cone at the tail end of the ingredients list.

I don't like hard hold gels, either. My favorite gel is Spiral Solutions Curl Enhancing Jelly, but I often mix it with Aubrey Organics Mandarin Magic Moisturizing Jelly for an even soften feel. I have also used and like Aquage Defining Gel, Kinky Curly Spiral Spritz, Curl Junkie Curls in a Bottle, and Curl Junkie Coffee Coco Curl Creme Light. I believe Curl Junkie Curl Queen also has a light hold. I agree with DweamGoiL that it is important not to use too much of any gel or cream.

Eco Styler is my favorite. I use the LOC method (see signature). A little leave-in, a few drops of oil or a bit of serum, and a tiny bit of gel. And that's it for styling!
