Has anyone else bought anything from tejasDragon https://www.etsy.com/shop/TejasDragon?ref=pr_faveshops.
i recently purchased a stick https://www.etsy.com/transaction/238032887 and have been impressed with the quality and service. They are good basic everyday sticks. What say you hive Mind?

I'm new to the hair toy world so I haven't heard of them, but holy COW their sticks are gorgeous. :crush:

They are beautiful... but too long for me. :(

Some look 'just' like honey drippers to me, and I'm not that big a fan of the 'bedpost' toppers (because they tear my bun down when I wear them). Buuuuuut. Butterflies? Tulips? Leaves? INLAYS?! OH MY GOODNESS! The butterfly and the tulip! The tulip!! So gorgeous, and unusual! I approve. So gorgeous and creative.

Drools!

Majorane, I took one for the team, picked up a couple of the less "honey drip" looking ones. For science. ... That's right.

I actually really love these. I can wear my hair in a chinese bun or more loose LWB without fear of my bun eating the sticks, and they look quite nice. Now for some photography!

You can't easily see it, but the Walnut portion of the stick (the actual length of the stick) has some beautiful grain variation. It's simple and subtle, but nice.

Yes I've been watching the store for a bit. Very happy they're starting to get into inlays, they've got serious talent!

I bet if we asked him for more, we'd see more selection. I like the shapes he thinks of. Not everything is my style, but it's a fresh take on hair sticks.

I just wanted to say look how cool these are! https://www.etsy.com/listing/218528638/hair-stick-african-blackwood-cocobolo

I don't like pairs. If these were separated I would have to have one!

That is such a neat idea!! Unfortunately, too short for me, but I have always thought hair is a great place to hide stuff! ^^

Alaska98, why not send him a message on etsy? He seems very reasonable, and I'm sure if you asked for a different option he'd be very happy to oblige.

Minaa, your sticks are beautiful, you have the hair to carry something like this!

I never got around to posting the action shot of these in this thread. Custom ordered 6.5" sticks. He has 5" or so versions on his etsy page, and well, with my hair... :eyeroll:

Good communication and decent turnaround time on these customs. too. I ordered them a month or two ago, I believe (these may have been posted in the wear-all-your-toys-once challenge, but I don't remember).

I wanted to bump this thread because I am really in love with TejasDragon's sticks.

I bought this pair (https://www.etsy.com/transaction/1090361771) in African Blackwood a few months ago. The craftsmanship is impeccable. I love the glassy, high-gloss finish. The design makes them extremely secure; they don't back out of my updos the way some sticks do.

I had him make a pair of custom walnut wood stick based on a pair (another wood) he had in his shop. After a few convos, he made exactly what I wanted. I received them today and I am blown away by how beautiful they are. Like my first pair, these "lock" in my updo and don't back out. They look huge in this pic, but they are only 5" total length.

Huh, I guess there's multiple threads for this maker. I could have sworn I posted here but it was a different thread. Anyway I love the pair I have from this shop. I love the thin and daintiness. They're so classy looking.
