Now that the rainy season is here and I can't go dry my hair outside, a diffuser sounds like a great way to decrease drying time without hurting my hair. I'd like to measure the barrel to see if a universal diffuser will fit, but I can't get that thing off of it. It twists but doesn't seem to want to come off. Help?

Have you tried to pull if off? That's what I have had to do on my blowdriers. You may have to use some force as they tend to not come off with just a light pull.

Are you sure that you need to remove that part in order to get the universal diffuser on? The ones I have are able to stretch over most shapes.

Maybe turn, then pull.

Apparently I just wasn't pulling hard enough, it came right off! Now to find a diffuser that will fit... :D

My hairdryer already came with a diffuser. I always pay attention that whatever blowdryer I get, it comes with a diffuser attachment. That is my prerequisite to dryers.

Glad it came off in the end. Ever heard of the sock diffuser? :)

Ooh, the sock diffuser is interesting! I hadn't heard of them before. The dryer is a "Simply Basic S3", which the Internet has hardly even heard of, but I think I found a plastic diffuser that should fit.

You can find all sorts of interesting YT reviews on the sock diffuser. Here's one (starts at 1:44) -->

Cool stuff lapushka!
I'd never heard of those! I always thought something might set on fire if I covered the nozzle (although actually, when I'm rained on that is pretty much the method I use to dry out my socks) :p

Yes, I wonder about that thing though, how it works. Don't own one, just know they exist. :)
