This may sound like a strange question, but as for type of hair, I was thinking I fall under 2/b and 2. But, sometimes, depending on certain hair days, my hair make little ringlets in certain sections of my hair. They almost look like spirals, but looks more like twists. My hair isn't permed. It's naturally curly and wavy. So, I was wondering if my hair type would fall under a different category. Thanks in advance. :)

My hair is classified as a wavy (2a, 2a/2b, or 2b depending on the day and the alignment of the planets, apparently), but I get the kind of ringlets that you are describing. It's really hard to hair type just from a description. Could you get a picture of your hair after showering without combing or styling it? That would be the best indication of your hair type.

I have that too, and I get so excited, and think, maybe if I put on a heavy product like Shea Moisturie's Shea butter souffle, I'll get lots of new extra curls, but no, it just weighs down my ringlets/waves and makes me look like a wet rat with curls, so that doesn't help. I think it's just the fun of being a wavy, as some get convinced to curl, but we'll probably never get it all to do tight curls!

My hair does the exact same thing. It's possible to have a few different curl types across your hair.

I get those ringlets too. If I wash my hair and I don't comb it afterwards, sometimes I get straight ringlets. They don't end up in a curl, and they look like pretty straight tubes, a bit like dreadlocks. It makes me wonder about my hair type as well

I get those as well. Sometimes I'll have several ringlets like I've done some rag curls on the crown of my head, and other times my hair is nearly straight. I used to be able to encourage it to get nearly 3a/b curly when I lived in a warmer climate by using mousse. I think that my hair air drying faster without wind helps the curls form. These days there's no point doing anything like that because it is too unpredictable.

I'll post a pic soon. It's like a mixture of both loose and the little twist curls. I don't know if its doing that more because if possible hair length now :)

here's a pic of the curls. I took my hair down after I got home from work. It was up most of the day. I don't get the twist curls all the time, but when I do, it's usually the left and right side front section, if that makes sense. lol I didn't use any product on my hair. a lil frizzy. But the new products I'm using now has helped to maintain the frizz.

That still looks like 2b to me. :) Possibly 2b/c due to the left side.

That's what I had on my profile originally, was the 2b/2c, but I wanted to make sure the type was correct. I didn't know if I had to change anything, or if I had the type wrong. Thank you. :)
