So I've been using honey, aloe, jojoba oil, and shea butter in my hair and it has LOVED the stuff! However I also found out that these are humectants and that it will dry out my hair in the winter. Is this one of those things that could just vary from person to person? Or are there alternatives for me to use in the winter? Any threads on this!? I'm so confused. :(

Also, because I know it may help answer my question - I live in Massachusetts.

I didn't know that jojoba oil was a humectant! I do know honey and aloe vera attract moisture so it's best to use them when there's enough moisture in the air. I think the dew point has to be at around 35-50F for humectants to work well. You can try "sealing" your hair after using humectant by using some mineral oil(baby oil). That's what I do after using aloe vera since it's so dry where i live. I don't know where the thread is where I learned about the dew points but maybe someone knows what I'm talking about.
