Hi everyone,
So I've been loitering around here for around 2 years now. Thought I'd post a bit of "hairstory" (geddit!) and progress updates:
Pre major hair disaster circa 2009 to 2012:
My hair was certainly not in great condition but I liked the length and colour and it looked OK with a bit of styling.

MAJOR DISASTER ERA circa 2012/2013:
For some reason I decided that I wanted to lighten the dark red and it worked out OK at first.

But then I lost my mind for some reason and decided I wanted to go blonde. Rather than sensibly take it in stages, I went from the shade above to this in 2 weeks.

http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/z379/AdrianLovesRocky/092.jpg (http://s1186.photobucket.com/user/AdrianLovesRocky/media/092.jpg.html)
Needless to say, my hair quickly took on the texture of chewing gum when wet and, when I blow dried, the air would be filled with little wisps of hair that was breaking off. An utter disaster.
LHC Discovery and beyond circa 2013 to present:
As my hair had started falling out of it's own accord in sheer protest at my stupidity, I desperately searched the internet for solutions. I discovered LHC while researching henna as I wanted to get back to red without the damaging chemicals. I hennaed over the bleach but it was still in appalling condition so I took the plunge and had the chop. It was pretty devastating.

But I peservered with the henna and, eventually, my hair started to forgive me and start to grow and get healthier.

http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/z379/AdrianLovesRocky/010.jpg (http://s1186.photobucket.com/user/AdrianLovesRocky/media/010.jpg.html)
http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/z379/AdrianLovesRocky/001.jpg (http://s1186.photobucket.com/user/AdrianLovesRocky/media/001.jpg.html)
Im now in a position where it's nice and healthy (save for an inch or so of bleach damage on the ends) but layers remain from the severe chop I had to have so I'm about to get it chopped into a bob at the shortest length.
I hope, from here, I can grow a nice even length and put those days of hair horror behind me!
This forum has given me so much advice and inspiration - thank you all so much!
