I love see all the different hemlines LHCer's have, and how the different styles look different with different textures. Post your pics!

I used to have layers of sorts that have grown out quite a bit since. I like the kind of soft natural U shape they make. (Think my shortest layer is about 24 inches)

I haven't figured out how to add pics from my iPhone so for now my hemline is in my signature.
My hemline preference is thick and blunt.

It's harder to tell because it flips up at the ends, but mine is pretty v-shaped. Once I reach my goal length, I'm going to start trimming to get rid of those layers. :knit:

Mine is in my profile picture. It's a bit shorter now, but it's still the same - a U shape which I like the most on my hair.

I like how your blunt hemline looks, hennalonghair, I never imagined waves look that good in a blunt shape, but they do!

Everybody else also - beautiful hair! :)

Going to be following this thread :) I'll get a nice picture soon, but I have a deep V shape hemline - but haven't had a trim in over 13 months now, so it's quite fairy-taley. I want to slowly ease myself into a U-shaped hemline, so may get a trim this Christmas...

It was pretty blunt earlier this year, but it's been kind of softening up. I would like to reshape it back into a blunt hemline, but I think they're both flattering.

Your hair is so very pretty, that is the way how I would like my fairytailing to look when it starts to again (I have it cut blunt right now).Instead I got tentacles :D

BTW,how do you do your eye makeup?Looks pretty,is it a grey eyeshadow all around?

Here's my moderate/deep U-hem with fairytale ends. Granted, this was just washed/oiled and with freshly-done braid waves, so it's a LOT better-looking than how it normally is.

I haven't cut my hair for over 2 years now. I cut a straight hemline then and it seems my hair just continued to grow in the straightish line naturally ? I wish my hemline would be thicker, but otherwise I am happy with how it grows. I am little depressed with my hair lately, so don't feel like taking a new photo.. But here is one of the old that I take this summer!

First S&D I did in May this year and second in September this year. But honestly I didn't see many split ends to cut. Started to wearing my hair up only in the end of May and before that it was in a loose braid. I am good in neglecting it for most of the time :D

That photo was actually a day 10 after washing ;)

SummerCherie
October 24th, 2014, 11:12 AM
I have fine texture hair been trying to wash every other day. I might challenge myself to stretch out washes. Natural oils are good for the hair and for some reason it seems to grow faster. I started drying hair with a cotton headwrap/scarf and quit using towels I noticed alot less splits. Any tricks or tips going 10 days before a wash?

StellaKatherine
October 24th, 2014, 11:49 AM
Honestly there were not many tricks on my part. I do not conditioner my scalp or any hair that is higher than my ears as I feel my scalp gets greasy much faster then. And then just not wash your hair.

Few years ago I was washing my hair every other day ( never washed daily ). I wish I could tell you how I was thinking about my hair and its condition and because of that starting to stretch washing.. But to be honest it is pure laziness. At winter time my hair dries so slow and I can't use a drier because my hair becomes fluffy and freezy like crazy. So I always let my hair air dry. And I have two dogs at home which needs to go outside even when it is -35C outside :D So pure laziness made me decided "Nah, not washing hair today, will put it in a braided bun and wash tomorrow" and the next day will think " Ok, it is getting greasy, but really I have no time for drying hair, tomorrow then ". I joined LHC in 2012 and allready then was washing 1-2 times per week and only then found out that actually my laziness is a smart thing to do :D Now I can have my hair unwashed for 14 days. But normally I wash every 7-10 days depending when I have enough time to get it all dried.

The new thing that I added though which helps me with scalp and make it not itchy because of stretched washes is chamomilla tea rinses. I rinse my scalp with chamomilla tea ( not wash it off ) and noticed that I can be lazy even longer time now!

Well I guess I didn't get my u shape just right .
Planning on no big trimming for 2 years but I'm sure I will micro trim it- very very minimal every 6/12 months because although I adore a blunt hem I also equally adore fairy ends. :meditate:

Very pretty, desisparkles.

Mine is still like this. I just cut back to this "style" (heavily layered) last week. It is the style in my signature. Heavy V, from waist/hip down to classic, to a point even. This is a day post wash day (slept on hair). And I wear it down to sleep.

Starface, we can be crooked sistas together!! Our waves hide most of it anyways, lucky for us.

Lapushka, I have always had heavily layered hair, it's only now for the first time in many, many years I'm experimenting with growing them out. We shall see if I miss them but I do love the layered look especially on waves, looks great on you.

I've come back to what I started with...

https://i.imgur.com/CzIPskJ.jpg

https://i.imgur.com/T0N4Dbf.jpg

...on this ever-lengthening journey. So, my cruddy mirror pics from midyear show my length coming to the front over my left shoulder on June 19th (translates to a straightish hemline), and then from (and around) the rear  when I last trimmed on July 29th this year with the brushed-out fuzzbucket version on the right hinting at the actual gentle-u shape that blends all the way up to my face-framers.

True! And thank you. But yanno what, I've retamed mine as of yesterday by trimming from lightly layered U-hem FTL to blunt hem wrist, so I really am back where I started, albeit with more (and less) length.
