Yes! I saw that and placed an order this afternoon. I got a detangling comb and a fine toothed comb to help DH with his beard. (Maybe now he stays away from the tangle teezer!)

Even better! I purchased a wide tooth comb yesterday, though I only had the 50% discount. :)

Lol I've been considering buying a second set (icy blue this time) for no good reason, and this would be the perfect excuse. Fortunately it looks like she's all sold out of icy blue!

I know. This is my second order this week, and so far even with the sale I've spent over $40 (I got some as gifts).
I hope I love these!

Yes, thank you! I just grabbed the last scalloped comb. I figure if it's good enough for Rowie's gorgeous hair it will surely work in mine. :)

Seems like that comb has been relisted. I wonder just how many of the remaining combs are in stock!

I also wonder about the quality. Last time I purchased a comb from etsy, the comb started cracking and snagging my hair. I hope this one is better and is comparable to say, my Mason Pearson rake comb.

Oh dear, well hopefully it will be ok and if not I'm only out $14

Awwww thanks you're too sweet! :smooch: I actually haven't tried this brand yet so I hope the both of us will like this maker. :flower: I'm hoping I won't get static with this comb.

Did you use the code. I only paid $8 for mine. Maybe you might be international.

I have heard wonderful things about these combs and they were on my list to get before Christmas, as I wanted to get my mom one too. so I got the pink scalloped wide toothed one and two with the handle (both pink!) I really wanted the pink and blue color too, but I will survive.

Yep, apparently they are clearing the shop for new things to come in. It's never going to be priced that low again, the message said. Got it too. Didn't realize I better start a thread on it. ;) I had posted it in the "latest hair purchase" thread. :D Should've realized not everyone checks that. :o

Yes I did use the code but I'm in Canada so the shipping was almost $7.

I got a detangling comb and one of the ones with handles, both in pink granite. With shipping it was less than ten dollars for me, which means that it was cheaper than many combs of lesser quality in the drugstore. At least, that's what I tell myself.

I haven't used a comb in years, so I'm also hoping for good things from this maker and ya, static is a beeyatch, don't want that!

I have one of them, can only be used in dry hair though. It somehow catches (it is smooth all around) on hair when it's wet. Where my Hairsense comb just glides through, this one hiccups.

My wooden comb developed some snags so I took advantage of this sale. Can't wait for my new wide tooth granite comb!

I ordered a wide tooth and a styling comb. I have a wide tooth that my daughters stole! My only compaint is that I had to sand down a few edges when I got it but it wasn't that big of a deal for the price ;-)

I really like these combs. Not only are they pretty to look at but they are easy to hold and move smoothly through my hair. I had a rough spot on one of my combs from my first order and used an emery board to smooth it out. But still, they are seamless.

Now I'm curious to see what their new combs will look like!

I got a black wide tooth comb yesterday evening and I'm so excited about it! This will probably be the best comb I've ever owned. I've had the same cheap plastic comb for about 2 years. And before that I had a string of those awful plastic tipped brushes (oh the frizziness).

I'm also really excited for the new combs! I'm hoping for blue or purple shell!

Those would be fun colors! I dont know if there would be new types, but I would love a wide toothed detangling comb with a handle.

Mine shipped yesterday! I cant wait!

Mine just shipped too. I ordered the wide tooth and styling combs in pink granite. Monday was a holiday in U.S., so probably won't arrive until late this week.

Finally got my black scalloped comb. I'll do my review as a pros and cons to give a more honest critical feedback.

What I love about this comb:
*light weight
*very pretty, the black has some pearlized marbling hard for me to describe.
*glides somewhat well
* so far no static
*it's really a nice smooth well made comb. Happy that there are no sharp corners between the teeth.
*lovely packaging with a sweet card

My gripes with this comb:
* too small for my big hands. (It looks big in the picture but small for my hands)
* holding this comb is awkward for me since there isn't much space I find on the top area of the comb for big hands to hold it securely. I've dropped this comb three times when trying to detangle the hair.
* it sometimes makes a weird squeaky noise with some of the strands in my hair.
* while this was packed really well, my comb had a very strong vinegary scent. I had to use clarifying shampoo to remove this scent twice.
* this comb is small for my hands and also slippery and I don't even oil my hair on a daily basis.

Overall personal opinion:
It's ok. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for this model. I might try some of their more bigger wide tooth comb if they exist. Not sure if they have special combs for big hands. I love the aesthetic look of this comb. I just wish it were big enough for my hand to hold this comb comfortably so it doesn't slip out when I'm gliding this comb on my hair.

Heh, I know what you mean about it looking bigger in the picture Rowie, when I unwrapped mine I thought for a minute they had sent me a smaller one by mistake until I went back and checked the listing. I think part of it is how thin they are, I expected something a little more solid. Not that the thinness has been a problem, it's nice and flexible and I've dropped it multiple times already without it breaking, it was just a little surprising.

That being said, for the price I'm super satisfied with my new shower comb, but I don't know that I'd buy again once they're no longer discounted. :hmm:

Oh, I almost forgot, my comb also has some very slight irregularities on two of the tines, I'm assuming from the moulding process, it's not rough and doesn't catch my hair at all, but would probably bug a perfectionist. I seem to have bad luck with getting flawed combs off the internet though, the one time I bought a horn comb it developed a massive crack through half the tines after a couple weeks and I had to chuck it (I know, I could have gotten a refund or exchange).

I had a rough spot on one of the combs I got in my first order and I emailed EternallyinAmber and they said I could smooth it out with a nail file. I also asked about using clear nail polish to cover the brand name to keep it from fading from use. She said it sounded like a good idea. So I did, BUT, like an idiot I touched it before it dried completely. It didn't smear the ink though, just made an imprint of my latent prints! Proof in court if anyone steals my Eternally In Amber comb!!!! lol

I might give that a try when I find my sandpaper collection... I kind of like that the brand name came off of mine completely, lol.

My Pink Granite combs have arrived! I love them. The wide tooth comb is much larger than the scalloped one. There is much more room to hold onto it, the teeth are longer and further apart. The styling comb will be great for when I need to neaten up an updo. I get that hair separation thing where my scalp shows, so using the styling comb will help to hide that.

I got my black scalloped wide-tooth comb, and I'm in love! :heartbeat It's smooth and perfect, and much easier to use on dry hair than the shower combs. I think it's because it's bigger and the teeth are further apart. It took me about 5 minutes to detangle with the scalloped comb, compared to at least 10 minutes with the shower comb. :)

I received my black scalloped comb and I'm pleased. No rough spots at all. I haven't tried it in the shower yet but I ran it through my dry hair gently and it seems great.

Thought I'd revive this thread for anyone looking for EIA products: Eternally in Amber box subscription 20% off when you sign up for May's box by March 15. A little birdie told me it's an exclusive offer for the LHC!

Theyre famous for their beautiful perfect seamless combs of course but the boxes will include more and different gorgeous things than just combs, at a pretty steep discount to boot.
