Hi-lighting is my guilty hair pleasure. I'm a good curly girl in all other aspects but love me my highlights. They lift my complexion and I think it visually defines my curls.
I get them put in just twice a year and now I'm really planning to grow to longer lengths I'm looking for advice to minimize the damage.
Should I be doing some pre colouring care, like a protein rich deep conditioner? Or is that better after? I have read about coconut oil on the day but my hair hates it, but perhaps I should use it on this one occasion to protect it.
Any advice from others who colour would be much appreciated.
Also, is it high-lights, hi-lights or highlights??? I seem to never get it right :p
