Section off 4" mohawk from forehead to crown,
rope braid it forward loosely in front of your face.
Gather the rest, sides and back into a tight LWB at crown;
secure with a topsytale pointing from the base of the crown forward toward forehead,
right through the meaty knot of the LWB, grabbing scalp hair as well.
Pull end of aforementioned rope braid through the knot with tt,
thus securing the LWB to your head with the rope braid.
Pull it through till fauxhawk area looks just right,
then weave rope braid through fauxhawk area attractively.

Pics or a video tutorial would be awesome! I've been hoping to try a faux-hawk for a while, and this sounds like just the ticket, but I'm no good at understanding written directions.
