My dream is to have a HUGE bun! I know some of you are already there. Ladies with big buns can you please post them here and inspire me? If you have long and/or thick hair I would love to see those big buns!

Objectively, I know mine are big, but they don't seem particularly huge to me... I kind of wish it were bigger. I may have inadequacy issues... Anyhow, here's some photos of my big ol' bun (many x posted elsewhere and apologies for image hugeness).

I know it's kind of boring, mostly cinnabuns. I also know that every single image illustrates my flyaways, I have lots of them.

My buns aren't as huge (or as well made!) as other people's, but I'd like to think my buns are large-ish for my hairlength (although I can barely do any!).

Thank you! :blossom: 5" total length, 4" usable length, 3" width at the top and 2.2" width at the bottom. I did some sort of a LWB but my hair was still a bit damp so the bun isn't really smooth.

Edit: the top doesn't got a name, it's just curved.

Princessbob- Wow! You're hair is sooo beautiful and thick! I especially love the picture of the braided bun. It's so healthy with very little flyaways. You must have great genetics to grow hair like that.

Thanks, StellaKatherine! Looks are deceiving, though. I bet you could get a head eating braided bun too if you triple braided like I did in the photo! That's what I love about updos..they make it look like you have longer hair than you really do!

Believe me, I wish I could tell you. It is my very favorite hair fork and as far as I can tell, nobody knows who made it. It was a swap purchase from Loviatar and she couldn't remember. I know it is made of bloodwood, but more than that I am clueless. I even made a thread about identifying the maker, but nobody could suggest one quite in the same style to compare to. It is five prong with head curve and very slender in profile.

The wood burned design fork is from Artisignis (https://www.etsy.com/listing/165815977/step-by-step-alder-wood-hair-pin-two?ref=favs_view_16). It is an extra long custom based on their popular Step-by-step design. The other is a walnut carved cat fork from Mariya4Woodcarving (https://www.etsy.com/listing/108565396/custom-order-for-karen-hair-fork-wooden?ref=favs_view_9) which I picked up in the PIF swap from lovely SarahLabyrinth.

To be honest I always wanted my mom and dad's almost-black hair. It looks so nice and I bet people would take my heritage more seriously if I had their dark hair, too. But, in a weird way I love that my hair matches Snuggles' hair in color. My secret for healthy-looking hair is not much of a secret here. I wash once a week to every ten days, use ACV rinses and detangle with a Tangle Teezer or Hairsense Rake. The rest is mostly benign neglect.
