Hi everyone,

I finally had my hair care schedule set up in America. Primarily, I used RedKen for Color Treated Hair products, and it was great for the overall health and preserving of color. I'm currently in Osaka, Japan, for the next year. While the shampoos seem to be good for my hair health, I'm stuck when it comes to protecting the hair dye.

Does anyone have information on shampoos and conditioners for hair dye/color protection in Japan?

P.S. I did ask some friends about Pantene in Japan, but they discouraged it for color protection.

If you can afford the expense of imported specialist products, it may be worth going to the hairdressers and buying the larger bottles of salon brand shampoos/conditioners. I'm fairly certain that I saw a lot of RedKen stuff in Shanghai, but it wasn't particularly cheap (but then they carried 50% tax, not sure what Japan's tax situation is).

I often found salon shampoo/conditioner in the Japanese department stores in Shanghai too (Sogo/Seibu). Kerastase etc. No idea if they carry the same things in Japan, or whether it was just an "imported goods" section, but it may be worth a look. The Kerastase had a coloured hair line for certain.
