Maintaining at classic

Well, gals, if you are reached Classic , but you are not happy with your ends/hemline to the point of deciding to maintain here for a while, unite!

I will start:
My name is butterfly_dream and I am at “Classic with see-through ends”.
Now I will maintain here (I will cut off all my growth every month) till my hemline will make me happy, and I'll show you my progress. :p

I was going to maintain at classic, when I reached it, but I have instead decided to cut the equivalent of half my growth every month, rather than all of it, so I keep going but more slowly.

I'm going to cut all my growth, at least for six months, then I will see the results and decide what to do next.

I'll join you. I've reached classic but my ends are kinda wimpy, so they need a little trimming love.

It does not work for my own personal hair to trim more frequently than every couple of months, but I will abide here with you for at least a while. I'm also, at the same time, trying to remember to oil my hair more frequently, at least twice a week instead of once a month like I was doing. I am hoping between oiling and trimming, my fragile hair will be happier and grow better. I will probably follow ashke50's plan, and not cut all growth but just half or so as it seems right, to simply go on very very slowly.

Thanks to butterfly_dream for inviting me to join you all. I just trimmed off a bit and finally got an updated length pic. My hair is now just about a 1/2" past Classic. I plan on trimming and maintaining for awhile to thicken up those thin ends.

I am in about the same situation.. I have been maintaining for several years now ..however it does not work with me.. again and again the same seethrough ends ;( I hope it works for you but I am seriously thinking of going back to tailbone where my hair is almost as thick as the rest...so I will have full ends..

This is the thread for me! I've finally reached classic, but I have ridiculous amounts of taper thanks to losing 40% of my thickness to CO-washing three years ago. It's high time to maintain and let the thickness travel down, and I've been doing this since the beginning of the year. But my ends are so thin that I can barely see a difference yet, and don't expect to for at least another year.

Oh I'm going to hang out here once I get to classic. I'm pretty close and my hair is growing surprisingly fast this year.

Me too probably, I think once I pass classic I would want to switch from a deep V to a much shallower U hemline, and allow my hair to catch up.
However, I suspect it will take me at least one, and probably closer to two years to get there.
Also, you have gorgeous hair <3

I'm with you, butterfly_dream!
I'm hovering above and below classic and will be trimming to thicken up the hemline. The buld of my hair is somewhere between BSL and waist, so I've got a lot of work to do! I'd still like to reach fingertip some day, but for now I'll maintain at classic until the ends are in better condition. :flower:
