For years I have been chemically coloring my hair. Now that I am on my hair journey to grow it out and get it healthy I jumped the ship to henna. Last night was my first henna application. It smelled a bit like marijuana and looked like poo. I bought morrocco method light brown. I am so happy with the results. It is very subtle, a bit darker and covered my greys. I'm sold!!

Before all brushed out. After waking up this morning, bed-head ;)

It's great that you like it and it does indeed look subtle and nice :) But repeated hennas with a better quality will yield much stronger colour. Just something to be aware of.

Very beautiful and subtle results, EarthArtist! Looks like a nice gloss, and your hair even looks a bit longer! :)

Thank you for the advise. What brand do you recommend?

Meteor: my hubby just woke up and took the picture too close . I wish my hair grew overnight!!

I live in Sweden and my brands are all different from yours, but many people swear by either Jamila or Yemeni from hennaforhair or hennasooq. Also know that your current brand probably contains indigo that can cause problems with peroxide or bleach. Those of us who want to keep it coppery use sun-in once in awhile if things get a little too dark. For example in winter or if a batch of henna stays on for too long or is a bit strong.

It looks so natural! Congrats on the great results. And, you've got great bed-head, with those beachy waves. :)
