Well the curlies and the wavies have their thread, what about the super long uber fineys?
As yet I'm not able to put myself forward as I'm approaching waist, so am not super long.
So where are those super long fineys, how long is your hair? Any hair care tips for us anticipating longer hair which have worked for you?
Thanks:cool:

What do you mean by "super long"? I match the super-finey part anyway - when I shed a hair you can't even see it.

My biggest tip would be: protect your ends! :) But I am not what I would consider super-long!

I HAD super thin fine hair, but since joining LHC my thichness has incressed considerably. I am only at shoulder length right now but i am an aspiring super long grower

My origonal goal was waist or mbl but now im hoping for hip or tailbone. Hoping it wont take forever to get there :X

Well I guess I qualify for this thread, lol! :) My hair is around my lower calves pictured here:

One of my tips is to keep the fine thin hair up as much as possible, or in a braid, mine tangles if you even look at it.

My hair has some major taper going on right now thanks to serious shedding and regrowth. I'm hovering around TB at the moment. I was doing some post washing yoga, and my hair was touching the floor in bound ankle pose. I'm not sure how long mine will grow to, but I have to keep it so that it will fit inside a hardhat.

I'm a finey, at ankle length. I second Savvyhorsez, keep the hair up at all times. Mine even tangles like mad if it's braided but unbunned. I favor a braided bun for best hold. Also finding a holy grail conditioner is helpful, mine is Earthly Delight's conditioner.

I think I qualify :D Not sure if I'd fall in the "super-long" category by LHC standards (savvyhorsez has like a foot on me :thudpile:) I'm certainly working on it though!

And I am for sure a straighty... Doesn't get any straighter than this!

My most recent length pic from June - it was super hot and kind of windy, so not my hair's best day. I'll probably be taking a new pic pretty soon since I'm due for a trim, so I'll try to come back and post it when I do! :)

Also, my current sigpic is from March and shows me at just past classic.

Oh... Care tips, let's see... I'd say preventing tangles by finding a routine that keeps your hair happy and wearing it up most of the time are pretty important for fine hair. :blossom:

Beautiful hair! I will be watching this thread as my mom is a super finey (though she doesn't have straight hair at all). Her hair is spiderweb fine, literally, and if you even look at it hard, it breaks off, so I'm guessing you guys that reached calf (really impressive!) and longer than classic have some tips to give.

Me. I belong here.
This picture is from Nov. 2012, but my hair is not much longer. It has been growing super slow and may have stopped.

Sorry about the terrible picture… might be the worst picture of me ever… and in the middle of packing stuff in boxes, no less! :)
I just wanted to see how long it was at one point and I don't think I even combed it, lol! oh well.

Thank you Savvyhorsez! :flower: Since we appear to be hairtwins, I have hope that mine will look as nice as yours when/if  I reach your length. My hair always starts to look ragged when I get fairytale ends, but yours are so very pretty! :crush: I'm hoping since I'm now caring properly for my hair, mine will look nicer when I get them again.

hippie girl, :thud: Beautiful hair!

I wish my hair ends looked as nice as yours! Mine are quite ragged, but I'm determined to maintain at floor, and thicken my hemline.

Hippie girl, awesome hairs!

Wow, such beautiful hair in this thread! Great idea to unite all the fine-haired people here. :)
Hippie girl and RapunzelKat, your hair is amazing! And Savvyhorsez you have wonderful waves!

I've been at classic for four years now, I'll see if I can get to fingertip this time...

Savvyhorsez you have wonderful waves!

No waves that I know of, my hair is stick straight. :) I do however have bun waves sometimes like these of mine one day:
http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9629&d=1394243636
My thin fine hair seems to curl/wave very easily when braided, or put in a bun, but doesn't stay like that for long at all lol.

Beatnik Guy, aw, thanks!

Gosh! I can't even get to waist length! Mines splits like crazy no matter what I do and the centre thins out terribly :( I would love to know some secrets. I always wear my hair up and it still can't get very long :(

Oops. It somehow looked wavy to me in the first picture you posted  And getting straight hair to hold a wave gets more difficult the longer the hair is, but your bun waves still look great :)

This thread has my new Hair Heroes in it. Yay for that! :) It is awesome to have people with similar hair that one can actually aspire to, instead of hopeless dreaming that my hair was more this or that. When it isn't. And never will be.

AspenSong had some words of wisdom in her anniversary thread, where she said that one must embrace the hair one has, or something like that. I think that is important in life; we've all been dealt different cards but you've got to play the hand you're dealt, not the one you wish you had, and when you see others WINNING with that same hand, well, that gives you hope! Thanks, guys! :blossom:

So, I decided today was measuring day. ~52" length (fairly solid if fairytaled knee). ~2" circumference (which makes me sad, because when I first started doing LHC haircare it was about 3 and 1/2" or even 3 and 7/8" and sometime last year (I think) it was still 2 and 1/2" ... I guess that proves how stressful grad school is!).

So, yes, I guess I am a super-long, super-fine and straight haired person and I've become an uber-thin haired person too...

I am not an uber finey. But my hair is straight and thins significantly due to lots of hair loss, so I really need all motivation I can get.

All your hair here is so super inspiring. Savvyhorses, RapunzelKat and hippie girl, you are true hair heros.

I do second the advice about keeping hair bunned all the time, this made all the difference for my hair.
