Hello there! You may or may not have seen me hanging around recently. I decided to do one of these posts, even though it isn't an LHC anniversary for me.
I had a strange start to my hair journey. As I mentioned when I signed up, I had a terrible home haircut from around BSL to barely an uneven APL. Since then, I've been using less harsh products, cutting down on over manipulation, doing protective braiding, and CUTTING ONLY WHEN NECESSARY. Amazing how that last one actually makes your hair grow. ;)
I appologize for the lack of consistent length pictures; for the first year or so of growing I took maybe 1 or 2. I was only growing halfheartedly to regain my lost length and it just never crossed my mind to document my growth in picture form. So, without further ado, here are the pics:
This is my hair post-botched-haircut around early 2012. It isn't much at all.

Here's another one a few months later, during winter 2012 I believe. I can't tell how much growth I got since the last pic because of the weird angle in this one. This is also when I got some subtle highlights, which I am still growing out.

THis next one is quite a long time after the last one. This was late spring 2014, right when my ends were beginning to look and feel scraggly. By that point I had become much more serious about growing but I still wasn't taking pictures regularly or keeping track of measurements.

After the previous pic, I got my ends freshened up to thicken the hemline a bit (July 2014). I didn't see much of a difference, though.

And here we are, almost September 2014. Yesterday I was scrolling through pictures feeling dejected and found the first picture in this post. My mind was blown. I decided to find the quote shirt and take another picture to compare.

I'm still working on taking length shots more regularly.
The one thing that stands out to me in the last few pictures is how much my hemline filled out. I guess that July 2014 trim did a bit more than I thought... :)
As a side note, I have only ever colored my hair once, which resulted in the sprinkling of highlights you can see in the second pic. Since then, I haven't touched the color at all. My hair is an argument for the multi-dimensionality of blonette hair, if I ever saw one!
