I don't know what to do with my hair anymore.
I have long, black, Indian-Asian type, thin and extremely straight hair.
The only good thing is that I have a nice natural glow till the ends.
I don't have a lot of hair. if I make a braided or pony tail I don't have a lot of have.
It also gets thinner to the ends.
Then after 2 pregnancies the quality is not as good as it was.

The 2nd thing is that I don't know how to wear my hair.
If I use products, hairstyling tools, blowing drying etc it breaks so easily that I don't do it at all.
I only was it 2x a week, with a little bit of conditioner, and when it is dry a bit of oil.

I always make a quick simple bun with a hairclip. Just twist in round and fix it with a clip.
It is so boring.
I don't know what to do anymore.

Focus on the positive things: Your hair is not heavy. So it will never cause a head aches or neck pain. You can do all kind of buns without it hurting you neck. You also mention that your hair have a natural glow. You can do all kinds of french braids and all the details will be pop out due to the shine. You can experiment with all kind of braided buns. When you french braid first it add some texture and details to the hairstyle. You can do single, double or even triple french braids and then wear them up in a bun. You can braid some little sections in the front for accent braids, etc. The options are endless.

IMO black Indian-Asian straight hair is really beautiful.

That said, take a look at the swap board (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=14) and etsy (https://www.etsy.com/). There are a lot of shops who sell really nice hair sticks and forks. Ficcares (http://ficcare.com/)and flexi8 (https://secure.lillarose.biz/MemberToolsDotNet/ShoppingCartNew/StartPublicShopping.aspx)are really beautiful as well. You could change up between different toys so wearing it up will actually be fun instead of boring! Try different styles. There are so many buns you can find on youtube which are really fast and easy to do.

There are a lot of people on this forum who don't have a lot of hair of who have fine hair. There's nothing wrong with it. The thinning at the ends is called tapers (http://longhairedatheart.blogspot.be/2010/03/even-hemline-without-loosing-length.html). You could maintain at your length to get rid of those tapers. There's a thread (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=75468)for people who do this.

Get to know this forum first before doing anything drastic. You might discover new things that will make you go "wow, didn't know that". Johannah mentioned a few threads you can try. I'd also go check out the straight & silky (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=22766&highlight=straight) thread.

Welcome! :D

Yes, look around at the options before you make a big change! :agree: Some new styles and toys may make you feel better about your hair. I'd suggest staying away from heat styling (a lot of us generally do, as it can be hard on long hair). Try air drying, new braids and buns, or maybe some heatless curls. Check out TorrinPaige on YouTube, she has many wonderful styling videos for very long hair.

Also, you mentioned your ends are not as glow-y as the rest of your hair. Perhaps a deep treatment would help, or maybe you just need a small trim to freshen up the ends. :)

Good luck! :flower:

ETA: ha ha I wound up with "heartless curls..." originally  What does that even mean, Autocorrect??

Welcome to LHC, Samber!

You didn't say how long your hair was but I second the notion to visit TORRIN PAIGE'S channel on You Tube for hairstyling inspiration.

Of course everything depends on how eager you are to learn new techniques. Instead of going out and buying hairtoys, learn the styles FIRST, then go shopping for toys. Many styles with braids are simple and easy to learn. Once you master the basics, then you can experiment for all sorts of styles. Your hair boredom decreases when you know how to style your hair differently.

Good luck!

You've already come to a decision about what you will do. One in your heart and one in your head you simply need to reconcile them and find which one gets you closer the person you want to be visually. Very little anyone can say will sway you one way or another because your heart and mind are already made up.
