I know i do!!!! its a big reason i miss my longer hair, I used to pull off the victory rolls like noones business!

Anyways, for those of you who are, I have to recommend a site:
Pinupgirlclothing.com

Honestly everything I have ordered there is amazing quality, Their dresses are SO flattering and extremely well made! I have this dress in black: http://www.pinupgirlclothing.com/monica-dress-purple.html and its amazing!!!! worth every cent!

I wasnt sure if anyone has any sepcial events such as weddings etc. But honestly, if you do, try finding something here. Theyre so beautiful and unique looking :)

Additionally, I think it would be fun to open up a pinup girl fashion/hair/makeup thread if it hasnt been done already. Any designers/ styles that you ladies love? I am a big fan of Betsey Johnson myself

MEMEMEMEMEMEEEEE! I have too long hair for the era, but I am deeply in love with 50's house wife type of a clothing :) From Pinup Girl Clothing i have few Heidi dresses, couple of tops and the purple dress that you showed but in red :D I wish I could buy more from them, but unfortunantly customs are just too big to buy from US often :(

I long for hair that length but somewhat shorter in front so i can do just that style.

Completely off topic but i would love to see one of the LHC members do sailor moon's odango style.

Those are beautiful ! My hair basically mostly same lenght.... I like braiding so much that I will never make my hair shorter even for the victory rolls ;)

I absolutely LOVE this look!
I rock it quite well. My style icon is Imelda May, the rockabilly singer.
I love the dresses and have been known more than once to get into full 50s style dress and heels, hair and makeup just to do the dishes or cook a meal - somehow I feel like a domestic goddess when dressed as a 50s housewife!
I'll have a look at those dresses... I mostly get them from friends or charity shops but have always wanted to pluck up the courage to buy a new one.

It's like a feminine version of Wolverines hair :)
I must try it.

Does anybody know how to do it, or what it's called? It doesn't look quite like the victory rolls I've seen.

Theyre Victory rolls, but instead of doing an upward or forward victory roll they are to the back and up the sides i think

Yup. They're so cute too. I can imagine wearing them to a comic-con or something to be Wolverine.

I do!
I'm a little older than most pinup fans, but have sported a retro hairstyle or two during my grow-out. My hair is almost too long for it now, but there are other styles I can explore!
Here's one from this spring.

I wore it this way to church, but didn't decide to share it with TLHC until later in the day. (It's messy, but you get the idea?)

Actually I know many pinup ladies who are around your age! I think age doesn't matter when it comes to looking femenine ;) Love that hairdo of your! :flowers:

I like it, too. I don't usually take the time, though.

The bad thing about pinup hair styles, that for example victory rolls need a lot of teasing. You can do them with rollers, but they wont stay like that without teasing... Not a good thing for hair :) I am thinking of trying this one ;)

Yeahm that's the main reason why I never went into the full blown victory rolls: the teasin' and the curlin'! Also I can't bobbypin invisibly, so there's an unsightly bobbyX in each of my rolls, but that would improve with practice. Does anyone has a hairfriendly tutorial?

LeoLilie, a German YouTuber, does lots of pin up and rockabella styles on long hair w/o teasing or heat.
