I felt the need to put the warning in as some people on here I know do not like topless back pictures. :demon:

Thanks for the compliments, everyone! I put the warning up because, about a year ago methinks, someone got offended at looking at a topless back. :lol: the kilt I bought at a Celtic festival near Philly. I'd say my hair is between hip and TBL.

Most Scots are part Irish too and the other way round, as our ancestors tended to travel to and fro between the two.

Your hair is LOVELY. Are those your natural waves or do they come from a braid/bun? Mine isn't quite that wavey but is a similar colour. Unfortunately only nearly APL just now.

Scotch Irish is the American term for Americans of Ulster Scots decent. That is, people whose ancestors emigrated from Scotland to Ireland and later from Ireland to America. It is actually very specific, but not everyone knows exactly what it means. The English encouraged many Scots to emigrate to Ireland to deliberately screw up the demographics. Ironically, many English emigrated to Ireland at various times and mostly assimilated, but the Scots mostly did not. Many Ulster Scots emigrated to America and mostly ended up in the Appalachians (West Virginia, Kentucky, etc.) where they are now called Scotch Irish. Many other Irish people ('green Irish') emigrated to the US and wound up in cities like New York and Boston. Here endeth the history lesson! (I am not and never have been a history teacher, LOL!).

I am English but partly of Irish descent (not Ulster Scots) and emigrated to the US myself. It seemed like a good idea at the time.
